Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna is a blockbuster and the film is unstoppable at the box office ever since its release on December 1. Amid the lead actors' performances, actress Tripti Dimri, portraying Zoya, has notably impressed the audiences. Her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie has earned her immense love and admiration. Reports were suggesting that actress Sara Ali Khan had auditioned for the role of Zoya in Animal. While Parineeti Chopra was set for the lead role, Sara had reportedly tried out for the secondary lead. The Kedarnath actress had shown keen interest in the film's script, expressing her desire to join the project. Yet, according to ETimes, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director, reportedly wasn't keen on casting her. As per the report, Sandeep held reservations about Sara's suitability for the role, doubting her capability to effectively embody the bold character portrayed in the film. However, Sara hasn't responded to these reports as of yet. On the work front, Sara's recent outing, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, alongside Vicky Kaushal, fared reasonably well at the box office. 


Her upcoming film Metro...In Dino directed by Anurag Basu is an anthology, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles. Apart from this, Sara is also involved in the thriller-drama Ae Watan Mere Watan, a fictional story set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.
